The DMM Wallnuts are the foundation of traditional climbing protection — simple, reliable, and incredibly effective. Built with precision and insight gained from decades of climbing experience, Wallnuts offer exceptional versatility and durability across a wide variety of rock types.

Each Wallnut features a curved, dual-tapered design that allows placement in two orientations, providing secure protection in both parallel and flared cracks. The design ensures three points of rock contact, resulting in stable placements that resist lifting out when the rope moves or the climber passes above.

Grooved faces improve seating in irregular rock and reduce the chance of slipping in shallow placements, while also helping the nut stay put on featured or crystalline rock surfaces. Larger Wallnuts are hollow-forged to reduce weight, while smaller sizes use harder alloy for durability and resistance to shearing.

Each nut is mounted on a stiff-yet-flexible wire, allowing easy placement overhead while minimizing lift. Wallnuts are color-coded to match the rest of DMM’s protection range, ensuring fast, intuitive size selection and perfect compatibility with DMM Offsets and Peenuts.
